    Petra Rakebrandt

Life and meditation coach, artist, author, living in Guadeloupe since 2007. After studying architecture and civil engineering in Germany, she worked for 12 years in building construction, particularly in the construction of wind turbines. However, this life did not allow her to live her true passion, so she set out to find it in Guadeloupe. Since then, she has studied nutrition, holistic health, yoga, and meditation in New York and has also trained in emotional healing. Visual art, music, and writing (she published the book "Yin is the New Black" about life changes and yoga) are for her ways to better understand her emotions, express herself, and heal her own story. In her art, she expresses her emotions. She wants to convey the importance of self-expression and building self-confidence. Since the summer of 2018, when she studied at the Academia del Giglio in Florence, Italy, she has primarily used acrylic on canvas and a mix of acrylic and pencil. Her works are becoming increasingly abstract and expressionist. Combining art and yoga in her teachings is one of Petra's projects. She aims to show that by connecting with one’s body and mind through yoga postures, meditation, and visualization, one can access creativity and develop it with confidence. et la développer en toute confiance.

    Martin Gala

Martin Gala is an exceptional artist whose skill and creativity breathe life and beauty into spaces and objects. He is both a craftsman and an artist – sensitively working with various materials such as metal or wood.In his work, he often focuses on an ecological approach – working with discarded or unused materials, which he transforms into tasteful and inspiring forms. He thus gives things a second chance and turns what has lost its original purpose into artistic objects. He passes on his rich experience and craft knowledge to young people. He is dedicated to their education, teaching them creativity and how they can use their skills in life and art.

    KED

KED I am a photographer and specialized in macro photography (landscape, wedding and street photos). I am also passionate about digital arts and I live in Martinique. As far back as I can remember, I have always loved all kinds of arts but mainly photography. Whenever I get the chance, I grab my camera, tripod and lenses and head off to the sunset or whatever! There is always something to photograph: a leaf in the water or an animal, a flower,… I see nature as a painting filled with colors, lines of shadow, shapes

    YES

YESH - A big fan of Hip Hop since always, it was at the beginning of the 2000s that I started to try graffiti inspired by the frescoes visible everywhere on the island. We could even say that it is thanks to graffiti that I felt part of society, because it is long-time friends, enriching exchanges with the public, such a positive vibration that has carried me for all these years and keeps me on the right course. So after obtaining my literary baccalaureate with a visual arts option, I continued my studies at the Centre des Métiers d'arts de Bergevin and then joined the LesTempsDart training center in Essonne in France. This time in France allowed me to really learn color in its details as well as very precise rules in the composition of a work. It was also at this time that I became acquainted with the world of exhibitions in Paris With my fresco diploma in hand, I returned to Guadeloupe afterwards in order to put into practice the knowledge acquired during my training. My transition to abstract art came much later, at a time when I needed to find a certain freedom in my creative process, a freedom similar to graffiti. It is also these two universes that I strive to combine on the canvas. We find a lot of aerosols, poscas in my work although the lettering itself has disappeared from the work. I never feel the need to represent my graffiti pseudonym on the canvas, there are so many things to experiment with in terms of colors and textures that it never ends.

    Steve Tabar

Steve Tabar Born in 1990 on the island of Guadeloupe, Steeve Tabar is a multi-faceted artist with a non-conformist approach to art! He deals with feelings, events, trusting his inspirations, he remains an artist of the world. "The more time passes, I have to adapt, the more time passes, my artistic activity becomes obvious to me!!" .... "Oh Orange City for so many others you are a stranger, not one of you laughs, not one of you cries, feelings are not expressed, much less gestures that could demonstrate a certain culture! Tired, it is in the shade of a tree that we discover your story, so beautiful, so touching from the tangle of your roots thus translating the paradox of life...!"

    Joëlle SIBA

JS is originally from BASSE-TERRE in Guadeloupe where she was born in 1971. A land with a rich and intense history, marked and crossed by extraordinary events, both human and natural. A land that has shaped and continues to shape the psychology, the way of being, the foundations of its descendants. Her plastic work is both a research, an archaeological excavation on her physical and psychological intimacy and her almost visceral need to understand, analyze and identify the complexity of her behaviors and her way of being as a Guadeloupean woman influenced and shaped by her geographical and historical environment. She seizes all these particularities sometimes extreme, even violent but which make her fully and entirely from this part of the world and no other and claims the regenerative force of the living that surrounds her.

    PGD

PGD With parents from Guadeloupe, I have been a CPE for over 20 years and I am lucky to have a job that I enjoy despite the difficulties. I have always written. I observe the people around me a lot: they inspire my characters. Poetry is also a means of communication. At 50, having the desire not to live an ordinary life, I went to Polynesia and was able to satisfy my desire for discovery and travel. I dare to dare to get out of my comfort zone, and I find that it works enormously for me: I learn a lot this way and it protects me from the monotony of life or from being jaded.

    Tammy

Tamalyah Arnould “TAMMY” I am 23 years old and I was born in Hyères. I have lived in Guadeloupe since I was 2 years old and I work in the family restaurant while continuing to produce my art. Since I was young, I have always loved express myself through art, encouraged by my mother who also painted and drew. My works often focus on characters with original characteristics, often asymmetrical, with marked features. I work mainly with three techniques: oil painting, black ink drawing, and digital art. My art is a way for me to express my concerns, my misunderstandings, and sometimes what feeling of not finding my place in a sometimes complicated world. But it also allows me to immortalize moments of calm and comfort, offering a more serene perspective in my art. I hope my art can touch people, offering them a connection or a reflection on the emotions I seek to express. My wish is simply that my works can resonate with them and bring a moment of comfort or a new perspective.
